Cape Cod Bluefin Tuna Videos

Videos of Bluefin tuna caught on Spinning gear on Stellwagen Bank and Massachusetts Bay!

Whoa, just hold on for that initial run. That's the advice. And tighten the drag a bit. Then, reel when you can. Many times, the tuna take 200 yards on their initial run and then stop and come back at the boat! Talk about crazy. Never give up. Watch your line at all times. When you're casting, PAY ATTENTION! We played take-away with shearwaters all fall because they love my Tuna Candy lures. The good thing is that the action you put on the lures pulling them away from the birds is the same action that the tuna love. We had one collision between bird and tuna this year!!

Although I say it's not a sport for rookies, we can bring you up to speed quickly, and it's fun to watch, anyways. It's amazing just hearing the drag and seeing people sweat! I love this type of fishing.

2009 should bring us a lot of fish that are pushing 70 inches long! These fish will really test our skills and tackle. It's not going to be easy, but it'll be fun. Don't take these trips expecting to catch fish all day! Having the chance to catch these fish is what it's all about. But, should we hook up, be ready for the fight of your life. Our experience has been very good in hooking and battling these amazing fish.

Good practice would be striper or blue fishing with very light tackle (perhaps 6 or 10 pound test). We can run those trips for you in June or July if you want to ramp up for some amazing fall tuna fishing!
