These little fish will wipe out your bait if you stay in one place too long. When fishing as a kid for flounder, they'd wipe out my allowance quickly. Not much redeeming about them, but the sea gulls liked it when I'd throw them perch after stunning them slightly! Fishing offshore, from time to time we catch them and they do get large--2 to three pounders on occasion make you think twice about tossing them back. They do taste great at that size.
